
BIOGRAPHY
Megan Rae Borreson (b. 1995) is a self-taught painter based in the Midwest, United States. Borreson is an abstract artist, primarily using oil paint as a conduit to express her innermost feelings and inspirations. Her paintings often feature contrasting themes, such as, light versus dark. Borreson’s paintings reflect the beauty and heartbreak of human emotions.
Borreson’s artwork has been featured in multiple exhibitions, including the Nemesis exhibit directed by The Holy Art Gallery residing in London, UK and she will be an exhibitor at the forthcoming Superfine NYC Art Fair in September 2022. In June of 2022, Borreson was an artist-in-residence at Château d’Orquevaux, which resides in Champagne-Ardenne, France. Château d’Orquevaux awarded her two grants, the Denis Diderot and the Emerging Artist, for her month-long residency. Borreson’s oil painting, Crimson Serenity, was featured in the digital and print issues of Vanity Fair London, 2021 November, December, additionally the 2022 February issue.
